Cheryl Sohner

Cheryl Sohner, age 70, of Hilliard, OH, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024. Cheryl was born in Augusta, Georgia to the late Joretta Curran on November 22, 1953.

Cheryl graduated from Capital University with her Bachelors degree and then went on to study at Middlebury College Vermont where she graduated with her Masters in French. She retired from Westland High School after teaching for 45 years.  She spent those many years doing her very best to make a lasting impact on each and every one of her students.  Cheryl loved to travel the world, especially with her husband by her side.  She took that love and experience and shared it with thousands of students and friends for as long as she could.  She even expanded that opportunity to others by becoming a Travel Ambassador for ACIS. Cheryl spent her life doing exactly what she loved, with the people she loved.  She will be greatly missed by all who had the chance to know her.

Preceded in death by her mother, Joretta High and step father, Elmer High.

Cheryl is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, Ron Sohner, sons, Paul (Stacy) and Ross Sohner and her grandchildren, Clarissa, Christian and Kamryn Sohner.

Family will receive friends from 11am-1pm Friday, June 28, 2024 at TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where funeral service will follow at 1pm. Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
