Addie Harkless

Addie M. Harkless, age 93, of Hilliard, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013. Addie was born on April 11, 1920, in Hilliard, Ohio; she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Madge Harkless. Addie was also preceded in death by her sisters Mary Whitaker and Jessie W. Harkless. She attended Canaan High School in Plain City. Addie worked for Kroger Bakery for 40 years beside her sister and best friend, Jessie. She took her skills and love for baking home with her to make her famous sweets. Addie's love for bowling included the Main Liners League; and traveled to almost all 50 states with her sister. She had an infectious smile and was truly a lovely lady. She is survived by first cousins Bob and Shirley; along with many other nieces, nephews, and cousins; and dear friend, Gerry Simko, who will miss Addie dearly. Family will receive friends 2-5 pm Sunday at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where funeral service will be held 11 am Monday. Interment Forest Grove Cemetery.
