Alice Distelhorst

Alice Clark Distelhorst, age 93, of Upper Arlington, died January 30, 2008 at The Forum at Knightsbridge. Preceded in death by husband Norman Distelhorst. Survived by sons Richard N. (Susan) Distelhorst of Powell and Clark W. (Lynne) Distelhorst, M.D of Shaker Heights, brother and sister-in-law Hubert and Evelyn Clark of Upper Arlington, grandchildren Heidi, David, Mark and Karen and two great grandsons. Member of St. James Lutheran Church, American Legion Auxiliary, and Seagals of Columbus Power Squadron. Served many years as a volunteer at Riverside Methodist Hospital. A 1936 graduate of The Ohio State University and teacher at Hilliard Junior and Senior High Schools for 24 years. Family will receive friends 1-3 pm Friday at the St. James Lutheran Church, 5600 Trabue Rd., Columbus; where funeral service will follow at 3 pm with Pastor John Hood officiating. Interment St. James Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. James Lutheran Church.
