Alice Ruth Lakin

Alice Ruth Lakin, age 100, of Hilliard, passed away Friday, January 14, 2011. She was active in PTA throughout her life and served as PTA President on several occasions. She enjoyed traveling, especially to beach destinations, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Eugene Roe Lakin (1969), and son, Richard Denman Lakin (Vietnam). Survived by son, Donald Eugene (Elaine) Lakin; daughter, Catherine Alice Brownfield; grandchildren, Timothy (Genevie) Lakin, David (Britt) Lakin, Stephen (Sandra) Brownfield, and Lydia (Christopher) Brownfield-Sharp; great grandchildren, Quinn and Colin Lakin, Grant and Valerie Lakin, Austen and Chase Brownfield, and Luka Bulagic. In keeping with Ruth’s wishes, cremation will take place. She will be laid to rest with her husband, Eugene at Greenlawn Cemetery.
