Alyson Manoukian

Alyson Manoukian, of Upper Arlington, Ohio, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 24, 2018.  She was 49 years old.  Alyson is survived by her husband Mark, their two daughter-Zoe (18) and Lily (15), her mother Denise Whitman of Harrisonburg, VA, her sister and family, also of Harrisonburg-Andrea and Steve Ray, nephew Brendan Ray and niece Amanda Ray, and a number of in-laws with whom she was close-Paul and Dona Manoukian, Mikael Manoukian and Emily Crews, Marne Manoukian and Dan Turk, Paul Boyce, Mary Hovnanian and the Dudleys-Bill, Joanne and sons Chris and Alex of Denver, CO.  Alyson was preceded in death by her father Richard “Dick” Whitman. 

Family will receive friends on MONDAY, January 29 from 5:00-8:00p.m. and again TUESDAY, January 30 from 5:00-8:00p.m. at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, OH 43026 (614)-876-1722.  Alyson’s Memorial Service will be held from 4:00-6:00p.m. WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 31, 2018 at the PALM HOUSE at the FRANKLIN PARK CONSERVATORY, 1777 East Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43203.  The programmed portion of the service will begin at 4:00p.m. and last approximately one hour.  The second hour will be a social hour.  Attendees may also visit the gardens and we strongly encourage attendees to do so. 

The Franklin Park Conservatory is a special place to our family.  In our family we feel strongly about helping the vulnerable, particularly those who find themselves in difficulty for arbitrary reasons, circumstances completely beyond their control.  We are concerned with the plight of kind, loving, hard-working people who are now struggling refugees.  We ask that, in lieu of flowers, friends consider memorial donations be made to the following: Medecin San Frontiere, aka Doctors Without Borders (https://donate.doctorswithoutborders.org/onetime.cfm) or to your local Humane Society.
