Anne Elizabeth Leahy 94, died peacefully in the presence of her family, on August 8, 2021 at The Sanctuary at Tuttle Crossing. She was born in Columbus, OH, to John Morbitzer and Helen (Sauer) Morbitzer on October 27, 1926. Anne graduated from St. Mary’s School in 1944. She was active in St. Mary's Alumni Club for many years. A member of Brighten Opera Club, she participated in many productions at the Ohio Theatre. Early on in life, Anne was employed by Lazarus as a Millinery designer. She moved and attended New York School of Millinery design while working as a grid seamstress of Elder Beerman. Returning to Columbus, Anne married John Thomas Leahy and was married to him for 50 years before his passing in 2007. She was manager of St. Brendan's School cafeteria and the owner and operator of Party Time Catering. She is survived by her sister and brother, Stephen Morbitzer and Kathie Morbitzer and her 7 loving children, Christine (Mark) Overmyer, Theresa (Dr Larry) Kennedy, Roy (Elizabeth) Leahy, Eleanora (Chuck) Shively, John (Teri) Leahy, Margaret (Robert) Whipple and James (Julie) Leahy and 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A special thanks to the staff at The Sanctuary at Tuttle and Vitas Hospice Care for her care over the last several years. A private memorial service will be celebrated by the family and a celebration of life to be determined.
