Anneliese DeVault

Anneliese DeVault, age 92, of Hilliard, passed away May 15, 2021. Preceded in death by parents Hermann and Mathilde Misch, husband James M. DeVault, sister Helga Lasichak, granddaughter Kristen Ring and son-in-law Kevin Ring. Survived by daughters Mary (Tom) Broyles, Debbie Ring and Linda (Bob) Rosenfeld, grandchildren Lisa (Clint) Turner, David (Angie) Broyles, Daniel (April) Broyles, Phillip (Jen) Broyles, Sean (Lindsay) Ring, Chad D. Arn and Lydia D. Arn, great grandchildren Sam, Nora, Abigail, Wyatt, Levi, Angeline, Cecilia, Carter, Henry and Hunter.  Affectionately called “Mocka,” she arrived in the U.S after WWII with a small child, speaking no English, as the bride of an American Soldier. One of her proudest moments was when she became an American Citizen in 1954. She was an accomplished seamstress, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. God speed Mocka.  A private graveside burial with Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date.
