Arthur Deeks Jr.

Arthur Deeks Jr., age 95, of Dublin, passed away June 22, 2022. US Army Veteran serving in Korea 1950-1952. Member of Westlake Sportsman Club. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and family. He also liked to golf, fish and hunt. Arthur’s father came to the United States from England, settling in Westlake Ohio and was fortunate enough to have six sons who as teenagers helped expand his growing business of fruits and vegetables furnished to the Westlake area and into the Cleveland area. They were especially known for their delicious variety of apples. Preceded in death by first wife Margaret Gepfert, parents Arthur Sr. and Eva Mae Deeks, brothers Robert, Joseph, Walter, Earl and Larry Deeks. Survived by loving wife Mary (Marge) Deeks, step children Patrick (Glenda) Montgomery, Charleston, SC, Brian (Perry) Montgomery, Charleston, NC and Laurie (Ed) Zimmer, Hilliard, OH, step grandchildren Alison, Stacy, Amy, Eddie, Carly, Ben and Brad, nieces May Ann Gibbons, Sue Carey, Nancy Malty, Joann Kofpt, Rita Hogan and Kathy Davenport, nephews Ray, Dan, Lee, Charles, Gerald, Bill, Gary, Bruce and Robert Deeks. Family will receive friends Sunday, June 26, 2022 from 11am-1pm at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026. Burial will be held Monday, June 27, 2022 12 pm at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brook Park, OH. Family requests no flowers.
