Barbara Huntley Dorian, age 70, of Dublin, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, February 13, 2017 after a long struggle with kidney and lung disease. Born in Findlay, Ohio to the late Florence and Emmet Huntley, Barbara was a graduate of Benwood Union (WV) High School and attained her B.S. degree from The Ohio State University. Barb was a long-time employee of the City of Columbus, most recently as a microbiology supervisor at the Division of Water. In her community, she served as a volunteer at the Dublin Food Pantry, was active in the Dublin Coffman Band Boosters and was a faithful parishioner of St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, Barb was preceded in death by her sister Jo Anne (Huntley) Magee. She is survived by her beloved husband of 35 years, Ken Dorian, her son and daughter-in-law Patrick and Sarah Dorian of Delaware, Ohio and her granddaughter Ramona Joy Dorian. Barbara is also survived by her sisters Mary (Mark Snyder) Huntley of Charleston, WV and Carol (Ronda Hemingway) Huntley of Ypsilanti, MI; brother-in-law Chris Magee, of Cambridge, MA; nieces Erin Snyder, Maggie Huntley and Kate Huntley; her father-in-law Charles Dorian of Hilliard, OH, sisters-in-law: Diane (Charlie) Stanley of Hilliard, Carolyn (Bruce) Rahn of Colorado Springs, CO, Maureen (Trena Brown) Dorian of Hilliard, Julie (Bill) Moll of Hilliard; nieces and nephews: Keith Stanley, Kevin (Kristy) Stanley, Molly (Matt) Cano, Anna Rahn, Mary Rahn, Jackson Moll and Emma Moll; great-nieces and nephews: Tyler, Carter and Kendall Stanley and Jase and Jude Cano; special friends Beth and Bill Walborn of Loveland, OH and Nan and Tim Beeler of Lewis Center, OH. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00a.m. TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 2017 at ST. BRIGID OF KILDARE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7179 Avery Road, Dublin, OH 43017 where family will receive friends before the Mass beginning at 10:00a.m. The Reverend Monsignor Joseph M. Hendricks will celebrate the Mass and burial will be held later for the family at Resurrection Cemetery.
