Bennie Rice

Bennie Wilson Rice, age 80, of Hilliard, passed away Friday, December 29, 2006. Bennie was of Baptist faith and employed as a welder with Armstrong Furnace for 44 years. Member of Avery lodge #493, Eastern Star, Valley of Ohio Scottish Rite 32nd degree, and Associate Guardian Bethel 45. He was also a member of Moose Lodge 2236 and American Legion Post 614. Preceded in death by parents Heston and Christina Rice, loving wife of 31 years Nora 1976, brother Louie Rice and sister Ruth Pelfrey. Survived by loving children Penny Lynn (Richard) Anelick, Peggy Lee (Mike) Hovatter, Bennie “Brad” Bradford Rice, and Brian Be Rice, loving companion of 11 years Ada Wallace, brother Jim (Lois) Rice, grandchildren Chris, Shane, Matt, Ryan Eugene and Damon, great grandchildren Kyle, Tyler, Halie, Quintin, Alex, and many loving family and friends. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard where funeral service will be held 1:30 pm Wednesday with Pastor Earl Littman officiating. A Masonic service will be held at 7 pm Tuesday. Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
