Benson (Ben) B. Lewis, of Plain City, born January 8, 1949 in Columbus, went to be with the Lord on January 31, 2010 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Graduate of Hilliard High School, class of ’69. Enlisted in the US Army on June 9, 1969 to June 8, 1975; where he was assigned to 2nd Armored Division (Hell on Wheels). Served in Vietnam with the 1st Infantry Division from November 12, 1969 to October 28, 1970. Retired from Honda of American, Mfg. His passions involved his land, fishing, reading and his family. Born to Charles M. and Betty (Cramer) Lewis. Preceded in death by mother. Survived by loving wife of 31 years, Debra, son Benjamin (Chelsea) Lewis, daughters Kelly (Luke) Kuhns, Kara (James) King and Carrie (Danny) Carl, grandchildren, Brooke, Kayla, Devon, Logan, Corey, Ethan, Connor and Charlie, loving niece Dawn Grames, father Charles and stepmother Joann, brother Charles E. (Catherine), sister Janis (John) Eger, numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, best friend Bob Weary and many dear friends. Family will receive friends 4-8 pm Wednesday at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where funeral service will be held 11 am Thursday with Pastor Dave Yoder officiating. Interment New California Cemetery.
