Betty (Adkins) Ray

Betty (Adkins) Ray, age 82, of Hilliard, she was born September 10, 1924, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2006. Betty was a founding member of First Baptist Church in Hilliard where she taught the Sunday school Joy class for over 40 yeas and was an avid Arrowhead Hunter. Preceded in death by father Wilson L. Bailey and mother Ethel Orahood, husbands Everett Adkins, Garfield Castle, and Ronald Ray, son Kenneth Adkins, and daughter Joy Darlene Gillenwater. Survived by daughters Beverly (Ron) Wilcox, Jeannie Thivener, and Patty (Norman) King, daughter in law Carol Adkins, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Friends may call 4-7 pm Tuesday at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard. Funeral service will be held 9:30 am Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Hilliard, 2929 Hilliard Rome Rd., Hilliard, OH with Pastor James Barnett officiating. Interment Dublin Cemetery.
