Betty Carothers

Betty Carothers, age 83, of Hilliard, passed away October 23, 2011. Member of Hilliard American Legion Women Auxiliary Post 614. Retired from Hilliard City Schools, belonged to the Royal Neighbors of America and a longtime member of the Hilliard United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by loving husband Jack B. Carothers of 60 years, parents Carl and Clara (Gardner) Massie and grandson Michael. Survived by children Mary Lynn (Dick Dickerson) Carothers, Jack (Debi) Carothers and Gary (Jill) Carothers, sister Karen (Massie) Harget, brother Carl Richard (Deanna) Massie, grandchildren Eddie, Tommy, Kara, Bryan, Brett, Brandon and Zachary, 15 great grandchildren, loving pet Timber, numerous relatives and a host of friends. Family will receive friends 4-8 pm Wednesday at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where funeral service will be held 2 pm Thursday, October 27, 2011, with visitation 1 hour prior to the time of service. Rev. Robert Tussing and Pastor Lisa Bowersock officiating from Dublin Community Church. Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
