Betty "Mom" J. Cartmell, born February 26, 1935, age 81, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2016. Preceded in death by parents, George and Cora Corbett; siblings, Ernie Nance, and Mary Ellen, Jim, and Joseph Lee Corbett; special family friend, Harriett Nance. Survived by daughters, Vickie (Jim) Baber and Sherrie Adkins; grandchildren, Kelly Adkins, Kim (DeWayne) McMenama, Jane (Dan) Baird, and Alex Ball; great grandchildren, Anna McMenama, Haley Adkins, Victoria Ryan, and Iliana Baird; sister, Ruth (Vernon) Kauffman; special family friend, Juanita Russell; best friend of 60 years, Pat Rice; many nieces, nephews, and countless lifelong friends.
