Betty A. James. On February 20, 2017, Betty Ann Davis James went home to be with the Lord. I am sure she was greeted, with open arms, by her husband Robert Edgar James and her son, Robert Keith James. Betty was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. She was one of four children born to Harley and Nellie Davis. She lived her life following in the Lord’s footsteps. She started and ended each day with prayer and a bible verse. She was always a thoughtful friend. Whenever she went to someone’s home, for a visit or a celebration, she always brought a gift. A candle, bottle of lotion/soap, a kitchen towel or a keepsake. She loved being a wife, mother and housewife. We were raised on home-cooked meals and many home-sewn outfits. She lived through the Depression and could make a hard-earned dollar last. Cream of mushroom soup casseroles were a staple in our diet. We are all happy that she is with Dad in heaven, but we all will have a cookie cutter hole in our hearts from her passing. Mom, I bet God has a special car for you in heaven. Betty is survived by her sons Daniel (Grace) and David (Erini), her daughter Jennifer, as well as her six grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
