Betty Maffit

Betty Isabelle Maffit, age 83, of Lancaster, passed into the loving arms of our Lord on Monday, May 3, 2010. Retired from Franklin Disposables; once employed by Curtis Wright Airplane Assembly Line as a Rosie Riveter during WWII. Attended Lancaster Community Church until her illness. She gave her voice to the Lord and others in church for over 40 years. Preceded in death by loving husband of 42 years, William A. Maffit, parents Harry and Isabelle White, sisters Francis Lane, Mary Wheeler and Edna Laubensheimer, brothers Roy, Buddy and Bill. She will be sadly missed by son and daughter-in-law Bill and Kelly Maffit, Lancaster, grandchildren Josh (Michelle) Czich, Samuel, Elijah and Andrew, brothers Jack (Marilyn) White, Columbus and Fred, FL, and many extended family and friends. Memorial service to be determined at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made the charity of one’s choice.
