Betty Newell

Betty J. (Toole-Lamb) Newell, age 79, of Amlin, passed away March 14, 2010 at home. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church of Dublin. She was the rural mail carrier for Amlin for twenty-five years, a job she loved rain, shine, sleet or snow. Preceded in death by her first husband, William L Lamb, Jr. and her father and mother Emmitt and Ethel Toole and sisters Madeline Hollenback and Irene Cahill. She is survived by her husband Pastor Leslie G. Newell, daughters Debbie K. Woods of Paintsville, KY and Kathy J. Pollock of Amlin, son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Carla Lamb of Marysville, brothers Arnold Toole of Circleville and Walter Toole of Kingston, sister and brother-in-law Eddie and Donna Riffle of Laurelville, 4 nephews, 1 niece and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family will receive friends 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm Thursday at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, Oh; where funeral service will be held 1 pm Friday with Rev. Jim Stevanus officiating. Interment Dublin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Baptist Church Planters, Inc. c/o The Fellowship Baptist Church of Dublin.
