Betty Tracy (affectionately known as Garney by her grandchildren) 85 of Orient, Ohio, died August 8, 2009. Born January 18, 1924 to Howard and Helen Brinson and married her life-long partner, Robert, on September 12, 1942.
She was a retired farmer’s wife, devoted mother and grandmother. Betty had a beautiful voice and loved singing. She was also an avid Cincinnati Reds fan.
Preceded in death by her husband in June 2008, she is survived by son Jeff (Jeannie), daughter Debbie (Bob) Clifton, grandsons Rob Tracy, Tracy (Shaney) Clifton, granddaughter Kelly McCoy, 5 great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren Scott (Amanda) Brooks, Rachel (Mark) Stanbridge, 3 step-great-grandsons, sister Barbara Barker, brother-in-law Lee Tracy, several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held at Pleasant Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 with her nephew Pastor Thom Barker officiating.
There will be no public visitation.
