Bobbie Taylor

Bobbie Taylor, age 85, of Columbus, OH went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 28, 2016. Born in Alliance, Ohio to the late George and Betty Donaldson, she was a graduate of Alliance City High School and attended Mt. Union College where she met her future husband Tony Taylor. They were married in 1951. Bobbie gave a lot of her life volunteering as a tutor of language arts. She was an adult volunteer at Park West Court Group Home and received the “Adult Volunteer of the Year Award” sponsored by the Columbus Center for Human Services. She was one of JC Penney Company's “Golden Rule Award” winners for her volunteer work and was awarded the “Resident Volunteer Award” from National Church Residences/Lincoln Village for her 2014 parade float work. She loved music, making crafts and camping. Bobbie also loved to write limericks and poems for her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Tony Taylor and her grandson Shawn Smith. Bobbie is survived by her children: Tony Taylor, Jr. of Xenia, OH, Betsy (Mike) Cheeseman of New Albany, OH, Mark (Kathy) Taylor of Reynoldsburg, OH and Katie Daniels of Galloway, OH; her grandchildren: Heather (Alan) Webb-Rust, Julie Taylor, Tom Taylor, Sarah (John) DeBolt, Luke Cheeseman, Jeremy Taylor, Joseph Taylor, Dennis Taylor and Mike Burlingame; great-grandchildren: Austin, Ava, Addy, Asher and Alice DeBolt; brother Pete(Shirley) Donaldson, and their family of Houston, TX; sister-in-law Julia Clark and her family of Warren, OH; and her many friends.
