Bobby Ross Gibson

Bobby Ross Gibson, age 84, left his earthly life for his Heavenly home on Saturday, May 19, 2018, surrounded by his family.  He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 57 years, Beverly Ann Gibson; daughters Cyndy Peterson (David), Jennifer Kunz (Rob) and son Michael Gibson (Julie); grandchildren Zach Seckerson (Portia), Claire Gibson, Madelyn and Cameryn Kunz and Samantha Peterson; great-grandchildren Everett and Veda Seckerson; brothers Furman Gibson (Barbara), Donald Gibson (Evelyn) and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.  Bob was preceded in death by his parents Rufus and Ruby Gibson, brothers James and Herman Gibson.  Bob was a faithful Christian and member of Northwest Bible Church.  He was a dedicated and decorated 20-year veteran of the United States Air Force, retiring in 1973.  Bob was born and raised in Seneca, South Carolina and always saw himself as a “southern boy” despite more than 60 years traveling the world and living in Ohio.  He was a devoted husband, father and Papa.  Bob loved his family beach vacations, golfing with his son and quiet time spent with his beautiful wife and best friend, Bev, on the screened-in porch he built with his own hands.  He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.  Family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00p.m. WEDNESDAY at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, OH 43026 (614)-876-1722.  Funeral Service will be held 11:00a.m. THURSDAY, MAY 24, 2018 at NORTHWEST BIBLE CHURCH, 6639 Scioto Darby Creek Road, Hilliard, OH 43026 with Pastor Ken Harrell, officiating.  Burial will follow the service at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Hilliard.  In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to consider memorial contributions to: Paralyzed Veterans of America www.pva.org or to Heartland Hospice www.heartlandhospice.com.  Please visit www.tiddfuneralservice.com to send condolences to the Gibson Family.
