Bobby Gifford

Bobby Joe Gifford, age 76 of Mt. Sterling died Wednesday, April 21, 2010 in Doctor’s West Hospital in Columbus. He was born April 4, 1934 in Carter County, Kentucky. The son of the late Earl and Myrtle (Grizzel) Gifford.
Mr. Gifford was a retired Operating Engineer for George Igel. Member of the Ohio Operating Engineers.
Preceded in death by parents, and brothers, Kenneth, Clayton, Lawrence and Dick Gifford.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 ½ years, Fay; daughters Sharon (Bill) Gore of Mt. Sterling, Ruth Brown of Centerville; son Randy (Nanette) Gifford of Newport, Rhode Island; grandchildren Billie, Bobbie, Rikki, & Matthew Gore, Chelsea and Nikki Brown, Justin, Amanda, Lindsey, & Skylar Gifford; sisters Helen (Ray) Seagraves and May (Dan) Sells.
A Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 26, 2010 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. The burial will follow in Dennison Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, April 25, 2010 from 2 – 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
