Bobby Lee

Bobby Lee passed away on March 27th, 2023 at Riverside Hospital at the age of 86 surrounded by his loving family.  He fought a courageous battle against cancer.  

Bobby was born in Shelby, North Carolina to Gertrude (Mote) Lee and Fillmore Lee.  He was preceded in death by his brother Ralph Rufus Lee and sister Marilyn Annette Lee, nephew Jeffery Love, his two best friends Joe Sauls and David Leisure and great grandson Stephen Daniel Dorsey.  He is survived by his loving wife Patricia of 65 years, and his children Melanie and Dan Dorsey, Robin and Jim Dorsey, Kelly Lee and Chuck LaMarca, Virginia and Danny Curtiss and Mark Kassler.  His Sister-in-law Rose Grambo, Stewart, Joyce (egg-head) and Mike Curtiss, and Cheryl Bradford (Crybaby-Daigo).  Grandchildren Tony, Anna, John, Bobby and Jesse Dorsey, Drew and Dean Curtiss, Diana smith and Josh Kassler, Including six great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

He worked for Alpha Moped and Cardinal Health.  He was mayor of New Rome from 1982 to 1990 and was an avid enthusiast of Vintage Cushman Motor Scooters.  He co-founded Mid Ohio Classic Scooters where he served as president for several years.  He was a member of the Vintage Motorbike Club for over 30 years which he enjoyed immensely with his grandchildren.  He enjoyed mini summer vacationing at Sunset Beach with his family including deep sea fishing.  Bobby will be missed by many.
