Bobby Lee Ogle, 79, of Williamsport passed away Thursday, February 18, 2010 at his residence with family at his bedside. He was born November 24, 1930 at home in Pickaway County, the son of Warren and Dorothy (Peart) Ogle. He married Patty Lee Davis on April 10, 1955 in Circleville, Ohio.
Bob was an innovative farmer, mechanic for farm and lawn equipment, loved collecting toy tractors and going to antique tractor shows. He loved fishing, hunting, and the outdoors. He took pleasure in listening to the radio, especially Westfall sports. The past few years Bob enjoyed going to Pickaway County Senior Center to play Bingo and for fellowship. Bob was usually found sitting on the front porch swing enjoying life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Pat Ogle on March 20, 2003 following 47 years of marriage, and his brother-in-law Truman Davis.
Bob is survived by his daughter Leann (Jake) Carle of Williamsport, Grandsons: Jacob, John, and Jesse Carle of Williamsport. Sons: John and Robert Ogle. Brother Ned (Martha) Ogle of Mt. Sterling. Sister: Wanda Higgins of Urbana. Sister-in-laws: Winnie Davis of Lebanon, and Joan (Charles) Mason of Hamilton. Brother-in-law: Gerald (Carolyn) Davis of Tennessee. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Pastor Bruce Hines of Adena Hospice Services will officiate with the burial following in Pleasant Cemetery. Family will receive friends at 1:00 until time of service.
