Bobby E. Skaggs, age 72, of Hilliard, Ohio, passed away suddenly on Friday, November 3, 2017. A veteran of the United States Army, Bobby was retired from the State of Ohio, Ohio Criminal Justice Department after 26 years of service. After his retirement, he was a security guard with West Ward Pharmaceuticals. Bobby was a member of the Northwest Franklin County Historical Society for many years. He was also a 26+ year volunteer for the Hilliard Davidson High School press box where he ran the scoreboard for all of the football games. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter Kelly Sue, his parents Oma and Johnny Skaggs, one sister and three brothers. Bobby is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Sandy Skaggs and his daughters Stacy (Santiago) Pablo and Jodi Skaggs-Meehan, all of Hilliard, his adored grandchildren: Jorge Pablo, Santiago Pablo, Jr., Riley Skaggs, Madison Fant, Garrett Fant and Morgan Fant, sister-in-law Gerry Frontiera of Xichigan, brother-in-law Wayne O’Banion, of Xichigan and brother-in-law Robert (Sheila) O’Banion of Georgia, and their families, his great-aunt Doris Miller of Xichigan, his many cousins and an abundance of cherished, life-long friends. Family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00p.m. TUESDAY at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, OH 43026 (614)-876-1722 and again from 10:00-11:00a.m. WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2017 where his Funeral Service will begin at 11:00a.m. with Reverend Marilyn Miller, officiating. Burial will be held later at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
