Bonnie Hays

Bonnie (Lalia) Hays, age 86, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on January 30, 2024.  Bonnie was born in New Boston, Ohio to the late Forrest and Gladys Harris.

Bonnie was a longtime member of the United Auto Workers and retired from General Motors as a timekeeper after many years. She loved life as it was, but some of the things she enjoyed most were traveling with friends and family, rooting for her favorite sports teams, the Buckeyes and the Reds, watching her grandchildrens sporting events, and attending family reunions.

Bonnie is survived by her daughters, Shauna Hays and Pam (Mark) Mathews, her sisters, Gloria Harding and Francis Betts, grandchildren, Kelly (Lauren) and Shawn O’Brien and her great grandchildren, Evelyn, Layla and Michael O’Brien.

The family will receive friends for a visitation and service for Bonnie at Tidd Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich St. in Hilliard, OH on Monday, February 5, 2024.  Visitation will be held from 10:30am-12:30pm with a service immediately to follow.
