Brooxie Layne

Brooxie “Granny” Layne, age 96, of Hilliard, formerly of Pike County, KY, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at her daughter’s home. Beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother and friend to many. She was born in Pike County, KY on December 10, 1913. Preceded in death by father Gilliam Prater and mother Mary Jane Prater, husband Frank Layne and son Don Layne. She was a member of the Little Angel Old Regular Baptist Church in Groveport, OH. Survived by daughter Mary Lou Dodson, sons Bill, Joe, John and Jim Layne, 11 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and very special friend aunt Bertie. Family will receive friends 4-8 pm Thursday at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where funeral service will be held 11 am Friday. Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
