Bruce Barnes

Bruce Barnes, age 65, of Mt. Sterling, OH, passed away at home on Friday, April 26, 2019. Born in Chillicothe, OH to the late Edward and Virginia Barnes, Bruce was a Service Technician and member of the Ohio Plumbers and Pipefitters Union. Preceded in death by his parents, Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Melissa Barnes, children Madison Barnes, Lance Barnes, Vannessa Cooper, Alberto Barnes and Jason Cockrell, six grandchildren, two sisters, one brother, aunts, uncles and numerous relatives and a host of friends. Family will receive friends from 10:00a.m.-11:00a.m. TUESDAY, APRIL 30, 2019 at the PORTER-TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 331 West Main Street, Mt. Sterling, OH 43143 (740)-869-2777 where his Funeral Service will follow the visitation and begin at 11:00a.m. TUESDAY with Reverend Dortha Ross, officiating. Burial will follow the service at Madison Mills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
