Cameron Guiler Hayes

Cameron G. Hayes, 70, of Plain City, Ohio was surrounded by his loved ones at home as he was peacefully called home to be with his Lord and Savior on February 4th, 2024.

Cam was born on July 18, 1953, to the late Wayne B. and Jolene Hayes.  Born and raised in Caldwell, Ohio, he was a 1971 graduate of Caldwell High School and went on to attend Bob Jones University where he earned his bachelor's in education, and earned and received his master's in education at Marygrove College.  

He married Vickie L. Mayberry and together they built a loving home.

Cam devoted 30 years to teaching and coaching and he ministered and pastored for 40 years at the Whigville Community Church in Noble County, Ohio.  Cam impacted many lives through the years but most importantly he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth and Freda Guiler and John and Nettie Hayes, his father-in-law Clinton Mayberry and mother-in-law Zelma Mayberry, sister-in-law Karen Mayberry, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Cam is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Vickie and his three children, Clint (Kim) Hayes, of Plain City, Ohio, Heather (Rob) Stillion, or Marysville, Ohio, and Mitch (Ashlee) Hayes of Strasburg, Ohio, his grandchildren who were the light of his life, Ava, Breckin, Bryce, Ali, Anna, Adri, Reese, Knox. Colette, Hayden and Deacon.  Sister, LaWayne (Robert) Smith, brother-in-law, Gary Mayberry, sister-in-law Annette (Tim) Hall, and several nephews, nieces, and cousins.

The family will receive friends for a visitation and service for Cam at Tidd Family Funeral Home, 9720 State Route 161 Plain City, Ohio on Wednesday, February 7, 2024.  Visitation will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm with a service beginning at 1:00. Following the service, we will be processing to Forest Grove Cemetery.
