Carl B. Giblin

Carl B. Giblin, 81, of Hilliard passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at Mill Run Garden and Care of Hilliard. He was born April 15, 1926 in Cleveland. He retired after 39 years from the Cleveland Illuminating Co. He served 27 months in the Army Air Corps, working as a mechanic on the fighter-bombers. Preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Anna Marie Giblin, parents, Carl J. and Ruth Giblin and brother Edward Giblin. He is survived by children, Colleen (Brian) Barta and Richard Giblin; sisters: Ruth (Ted) Drummond, Edyth (Bob) Keller and Georgeanne (Bob) Horvath, sister-in-law, Rita Giblin; grandchildren: Kelly Heiby (Derrick Smalls), Joe (Valerie) Heiby and Savanna Giblin; step grandchildren: Julie and Robbie Barta; great grandchildren: Staley and Perry Heiby. A memorial service will be held at 4pm on Saturday July 7, 2007 at Livingston United Methodist Church 200 East Livingston Ave, Columbus, OH with Pastor Jim Donnan officiating.
