Carroll Jay Sines, age 87, passed away February 19, 2018. He attended Five Points Methodist Church. Retired from John Deere with 35 years of service., was a Mason, belonged to Monroe Men’s Club and was former owner of C & J Market in Five Points. Preceded in death by parents Harry and Clara (Dewey) Sines, loving wife Jerri of 55 years in 2005, 5 sisters, 3 brothers’, sons -in-law, Norm O’Conner, Steve Caudy and Mark Smith, Survived by his children, Linda O’Conner, Steve (Ruth) Sines, Mike (Diane) Sines, Cheryl Caudy, Patty (Raymond) Strait, Lannette Smith (Matt Miller);Grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandson, Shelley (Dale) Thomas and Jonathan, Kelley (Kevin) Smith and Conner, Kyle and Caleb, Brady (Christy) Sines and Ashley (Tyler) Holz, Ashton and Andrew, Kristi (Todd) Allison and Jacob, Jessica and Jenna, Ryan (Lexi) Sines and Rylie and Mariah, Kamron (Andy Bowen) Sines and Liam, Sherry (Richard Cherry) Rinehart and Trevor, Elizabeth Trende and Jordan and Alyssa, Stephanie (Drew Marshall) Caudy and Aubrey, Rayjean Thompson and Ciara and Isaiah, Aaron Caudy, Lindsay (Wes) Bogard and Kaden, Rhyker, Matthew (Minna Cho) Smith, Kelton (Stephanie Strous) Sines, sister in law Norma Pollock. The family would like to express a special thank you to his Babes, Johanna Miller and Joanie Price for their tender loving care over the last two years. Family will receive friends Thursday, February 22, 2018 4:00 -8:00 PM at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME 331 W. Main St. Mt. Sterling, OH 43143. Funeral service will be held Friday, February 23, 2018 at 11:00 am at the funeral home, Pastor Ron Reese will be officiating. Interment will follow at Darbyville cemetery.
