Catherine Marie (Kate) Keeling of Hilliard, Ohio lost her battle to cancer on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at the Kobacker House in Columbus. Ms. Keeling was born in Akron, Ohio to the late George and Agnes Keeling. She lived most of her life in San Francisco, California and the Columbus, Ohio area. She was a graduate of the former Central High School in Columbus, Ohio, was a member of the Players Club in Columbus, Ohio and retired as Travel Coordinator for the Ohio State Medical Association. She is survived by her brother, George A. Keeling, Jr. of Seal Beach, CA and sister, Sally K. Embry of Louisville, KY. She is also survived by nephews: Greg Keeling (Alba) of Simi Valley, CA, Barry Keeling (Charlemagne) of Las Vegas, NV, Chris Cozzens (Charlene) of Shelbyville, KY; nieces: Dawn LeVine (Dennis) of Hermosa Beach, CA, Eve Keeling of San Diego, CA, Lauren Hoffman (Bob) of San Diego, CA, Cathy Cozzens of Louisville, KY, Connie Dow (Stephen) of Medford, OR, Carla Grieshop (David) of Hilliard, OH, and Carrie Kanani (Navid) of San Clemente, CA. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. John Matyas/Riverside Methodist Hospital, the staff of First Community Village Healthcare Center/Skyview Unit, and the nursing staff at the Kobacker House for the care and kindness displayed during her illness. A mass in her memory will be held at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church on Roxbury Road in Columbus on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. Following mass, a celebration of life gathering will be held on at 12 Noon at the County Cork in Hilliard, Ohio. Memorial donations can be made to the Kobacker House/HomeReach Hospice or the American Cancer Society in her name.
