Catherine Lewis

Catherine Kalous Lewis, of Hilliard, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 3, 2013. She was born in El Paso, TX on November 8, 1931. Her parents were Jerome and Bertha Kolina Kalous. Catherine (Kate) graduated from Bishop Noll High School, Indiana University and DePaul. She entered Grand Rapids Dominican Sisters in 1951. She served as an elementary and secondary teacher, religious education coordinator, and in campus ministry. She left the sisterhood in 1977 and married George Lewis in 1978. He died in 1987. She is survived by stepson Patrick and daughter-in-law Kathie Lewis of Grove City, two granddaughters Holly and Heidi Lewis, stepsons and their wives Mike and Lucy Lewis from Papillion, Nebraska and Terry and Dee Lewis from Toronto, Canada. The family would like to thank her special friend Bob Sheldon.
