Charles Lesley Fullen went home to be with the Lord on September 24th, 2009 with his entire family at his side. Charlie was a lifelong Pickaway County farmer and a man of great love for the land and his family. The family states, “Our father would open his wallet, his heart or his home to help many people throughout his lifetime. Dad’s love was given to all freely and so easily, and will remain in our hearts forever”.
Charlie will be joined in heaven with 3 brothers Robert Fullen, Owen Fullen, and Wallace Fullen and 3 sisters Gladys Ankrom, Linda Fullen, and Nancy Kocker. He will be joined in heaven with his grandson Joe Allen Fullen and great grandson Jacob Flucke.
Charlie is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marjorie; 2 daughters Cathy (Fullen) McCarty and Donna Jean Fullen; 2 sons Kenny Fullen and Doug Fullen; son-in-law Gary McCarty; daughters-in-law Paula (Dillon) Fullen, Sheri (Canter) Fullen, and a beloved member of the immediate family, Steve & Onda Fullen. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
A Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 28, 2009 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME 331 W. Main St. Mt. Sterling, OH. 43143. Family will receive friends one hour prior to time of service. Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating with the burial following in Darbyville Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009 from 2 – 5 p.m.
