Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 68 years, Norma, his parents, Charles and Edna Schumacher, and his son, Charles B. Schumacher III.
Charles’ mission in life was to provide well for his wife and children; which in turn gave him a strong passion and drive for his work. He retired from Nationwide Insurance with a long career in business sales, and as a Regional Sales Manager. He not only cared deeply for the agents he worked with, he wanted to see them succeed. Some of his greatest and longest friendships were those he made at Nationwide. Other than being proud of his work, Charles was a lifelong Buffalo Bills Fan and a lover of horse races, especially when accompanied by his late wife, Norma. He loved to deep sea fish as well as collect coins throughout his many adventures.
Charles will be most remembered for his great sense of humor, love of a good joke, and his ability to engage in conversation anyone he met.
The family would like to thank the staff at Willowbrook Christian Assisted Living for the compassionate care that they provided to Charles.
The family will be holding a private celebration of life at a later date.
