Charles Skeels

Charles W. Skeels, 77 passed away on January 21, 2018 after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer and a short stay at the Kobacker House. Born July 30, 1940 in White Heath, Illinois, he was one of five children born to Leslie Milton and Claudia (Spencer) Skeels. As a long-time resident of Hilliard Ohio, Chuck retired as a Plant Manager from Beaver Adhesives and enjoyed spending quality time with his wife and love of his life Lynn (Williams) as well as proudly being surrounded by family and friends.  He was an avid golfer, master woodworker, and bagpiper who had a real love for history and enjoyed sharing stories with his children and grandchildren. Chuck was preceded in death by parents Milton and Claudia, brothers Leslie and Donald and sisters Sharon and Sue.  He is survived by his wife Lynn; four children Kathy Anthony of Hilliard, Karmel (Mark) Randall of Galloway, Kim (David) Bramel of Niantic, Illinois, and Kraig (Brenda) Pritchett of Hilliard; grandchildren, Adam (Katie) Anthony, Katie (Yosef) Schiff, Kelsie Randall (Ben Newell), Seth Bramel, Drew Bramel, and Spencer Pritchett; and great-grandchildren, Michael, Gavin, Cole, Reis, and Kourtney Anthony. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 17^th at Hilliard Presbyterian Church where the family will welcome friends and loved ones to remember Chuck beginning at 10:30 am, with the Service following thereafter at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Chuck’s name to Hilliard Presbyterian Church or Kobacker House.
