Charlotte Jean Melfe

Charlotte Jean Melfe, age 87, of Hilliard, Ohio, went to Heavenpeacefully on Friday, January 3, 2025 surrounded by family. Born in Columbus, Ohio February 5, 1937, to the late Hazel and Harry Chapman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Melfe, of 65 years, her 7 siblings, her daughter-in-law Tami Melfe and her grandson Joseph Melfe. Charlotte is survived by her beloved children Todd (Donna) Melfe, Gregg (Margie) Melfe, David Melfe, Gina (Josh) Lowe and Victor (Laura) Melfe, grandchildren Joshua (Shannon) Melfe, Rachel Melfe, Alan Melfe, Maria (Noah) Hochendoner, Sarah Melfe, David (Ariyan) Melfe, Jr., Wesley Melfe, Alexander (Addison)Melfe, Molly (Alec) Yoder, Mitchell Melfe and Thaddeus Melfe, great-grandchildren Caleb Melfe, Ezra Melfe, Asher Melfe, Faira Melfe, Finnegan Melfe, Faelyn Melfe, Leo Hochendoner and Rocco Melfe, and many nieces and nephews. Charlotte was a graduate of Central High School and maintained a relationship with her best friends from Starling Jr. High with whom she met for lunch monthly. Charlotte raised her family in Hilliard where she was an active member and volunteer in the community. She served as president of PTA, cub scout den mother, amazing homemaker and reporter for the Northwest News. It was her favorite job as she was an avid writer. She ultimately retired from a career at Abbott Labs. The Love and positive spirit she gave to her family helped shape who they have become, and a piece of that Love will be carried with them forever and with anyone that had the privilege of knowing her.
