Charlotte Julia Ritzer, age 95, passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday April 24, 2008 with her family at her side. She is survived by her loving and attentive family: daughter, Charlene (Dick) Colvin with whom she lived these past few years as well as her granddaughter, Kim Burkey and daughter-in-law, Rose Marie Ritzer. She was blessed and proud to have four grandchildren, Timothy (Karen) Colvin, Rick (Michele) Ritzer, Kimberly (Edward) Burkey, and Cindy (Dale) Brown, six great grandchildren, Tabatha, Adam, Brandon, Christopher, Kyle, and Brady, precious great- great granddaughter, Gentry Colvin, sister, Betty Ramsdell and family, nieces, Connie Dawley , Beverly (Dick) Radcliffe ,Carol (Ray) Ball and their families. Preceded in death by husband of 73 years, James Ritzer, son, James F. Ritzer, and siblings, Marie, Harriet, and Harold. She was known as Grandma to many and loved by all. Her strong will and determination stayed with her all her life. Her grandchildren lovingly referred to her as a pioneer woman. She loved her beer, nickel slots, and her euchre prowess was renowned. We will miss her greatly, but take comfort in knowing that Char and Big Jimmy are together again. Let the dance begin. The family wishes to thank Mt. A funeral service will be held Saturday 10am at St. James Lutheran Church 5660 Trabue Rd. Columbus, with Pastor John Hood officiating. Interment Union Cemetery.
