Christina Spencer

Christina Spencer, age 74, of Hilliard, OH, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Chicago, IL to the late Russell and Helen Nelson, she was raised in Des Plains, IL. She graduated from Maine Township High School, South where she was a member of the synchronized swimming team. Chris moved to Columbus after the death of her first husband in 1984. She worked at White-Westinghouse for many years and later was Purchasing Manager at London Industries. In addition to her parents, Chris was preceded in death by her husbands Daniel Connors and Eugene Spencer, her daughter Jennifer A. Connors and stepdaughter Stephanie Ploeger. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Jay and Kristi Connors of Hilliard and granddaughters Darby, Darian and Delaney Connors, her three step-children: Steve (Stephanie) Spencer of Columbus, Soo Keith of Raleigh, NC and Scott (Lou) Spencer of Columbus, her step-grandchildren: Alyssa Ploeger, Suzanne (Tim) Voorhees, Simon Keith, Oliver Keith, Leah (Patrick) Eberle and Hannah Spencer, step-great-grandson Cameron Voorhees, siblings: Janice (Steven) Nelson-Drake of Maryland, Keith (Susan) Nelson of Michigan and Leah Nelson of Illinois and their families, her best friend of 14 years Anita Telfer of Hilliard and her many other friends. After her retirement, Chris was a member of the Board of Directors at The Lakes at Mill Run, was active in her card club and sang in the choir at St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church where she was a parishioner. Family will receive friends from 10:00a.m.-11:00a.m. MONDAY, DECEMBER 17, 2018 at ST. BRENDAN THE NAVIGATOR CATHOLIC CHURCH, 4475 Dublin Road, Hilliard, OH 43026 where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00a.m. MONDAY with Father Ed Shikina, Celebrant.
