Clara Buckley

Clara M Buckley passed away peacefully on April 13, 2025, at the age of 93, after living more than a decade with dementia. Clara is preceded in death by her loyal, loving husband, Orrin, and her much loved daughter, Deborah. Also preceded in death by parents Herman and Mary Lawson, brothers, Ed (Willodene) Lawson and Bob Lawson. Survived by her adoring daughter, Sheryl, Grandchildren Roger (Veronica) Vanover, Randy (Ann) Vanover and Kristina (Shannon) Jones. Great Grandchildren Madison Vanover and Ross Vanover.

Clara was an amazing mother and wife. She taught her children how to love unconditionally and be kind to others. She led by example as one who never complained. Clara was a homemaker most of her life and her family always came first. She taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for years at Linden Lutheran Church. When her daughters were grown and left the house, she went to work for Columbus Public Schools as an Elementary Educational Aide.

Clara and Orrin were happily married for almost 75 years. She was devoted to Orrin and selflessly took care of him and her daughters. They were quick to show their love for each other.

The family will greet friends and relatives of Orrin and Clara, on April 28th from 11:30 – 12:30. A memorial service will be held for them both, beginning at 12:30 (April 28th) at All Saints Lutheran Church, 6770 N High St., Worthington, OH. Light refreshments will be served following the service.

Tidd Family Funeral Home in Hilliard, Ohio is handling the arrangements with interment at Kingwood Memorial Gardens.
