Clara Montoney

Clara Adelee Montoney (Taylor) age 91, passed away on October 4, 2020.  She was born on May 17, 1929 in Gassaway, West Virginia to the late Lloyd and Adelee (Barnett) Taylor. Adelee is survived by her daughters Monica (Perry) Rice; Roberta (Jim) Van Horn. Her grandchildren, Toi-Lin, Troy, Seth, and Ashley and her great grandchildren Makiya, Chenoah, Neveah, Chance, Bratch, Adelee, Blayden, Lucas and Leila.

Adelee graduated from Gassaway High School, then attended Bliss College and was a member of St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church.  Adelee was an avid traveler, from Venezuela to Hawaii and numerous other tropical locations.

Adelee was a dedicated mother first and foremost.  She was a fiercely loving and giving mother who was known for doing anything for her daughters. She was the most giving and loving person that we all had the pleasure of being a part of her life and the loss we will feel will be immense.

 “Lee Lee” was her nickname that stuck when she became a grandmother. Lee Lee was an awesome mother and even better grandmother. She cared deeply for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Adelee enjoyed shopping, cooking, baking, crocheting and knitting, elderberry wine, Bacardi (yes the dog and the liquor), Coco (the dog) and most of all being with her family.

Family & friends are invited to attend the visitation on Tuesday October 13, 2020 between 6-8 pm at Tidd Funeral home, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, Ohio 43026. 

Private services will be held at Tidd Funeral Home and Interment Wesley Chapel.
