Clare L. Lindsey, age 86, of Hilliard, OH, formerly of Bradenton, FL, Oxford, OH, Blacksburg, VA, and Springfield, VT, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012. She was a loving mother and wife and worked as a realtor with Folker Real Estate in Oxford, OH and Wagner Realty in Bradenton, FL. She attended St. Brendan’s Church in Hilliard, OH, and was a former member of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church in Bradenton, FL, and St. Mary’s Church in Oxford, OH. She had a passion for art and enjoyed painting with water and oil colors. She also enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and playing bridge, particularly with her sister Thelma. Above all, Clare was devoted to her family. She was the epitome of a mother – loving, caring, supportive, and interested in all aspects of her son’s lives. She was involved in the church, the PTA, the Athletic Booster Club, and the Cambridge Village Condominium Association. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Lena Lacross; husband, Joseph Lindsey; brothers, Leonard and Earnest Lacross; and sister, Lucille Porter. Survived by sons, John (Hildy) Lindsey, Jason Lindsey, Mark (Stacy) Lindsey, and Tom (Kathy) Lindsey; sister, Thelma Ryan; brothers-in-law, Bob (Alicia) Lindsey and Ed (Janet) Lindsey; grandchildren, Sloan, Brian, and Katie Lindsey; great-granddaughter, Fraya Lindsey; nieces and nephews, Clare Loer, Ken Ryan, Claudia Ryan, Adrian Spector, Larry Lacross, Holly Capen, and Karen Gould. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on April 21,2012 at St. Mary’s Church in Oxford, OH in April. She will be laid to rest in Lake Luzerne, NY.
