Clarence E. "Gene" Miller

Clarence E. “Gene” Miller, age 74, of Hilliard, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Mt. Carmel West hospital Columbus, Ohio in the palliative care unit, after a long illness. He was a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints, Hayden Run ward. Retired from Consolidated Freightways as a truck driver and was a member of the Teamsters Union. Preceded in death by parents, Clarence “Friday” Miller and Mary Ellen Jackson Miller; father and mother-in-law, James A. and Ethel (Evans) Chaffin. Survived by loving wife of 49 years, Joyce L. Chaffin Miller of Hilliard; sons, Gregory L. (Tania) Bloomfield of Toledo, Charles E. (Diane) Miller of Galloway and Lonnie R. (Tammy) Bloomfield of Florida; daughters, Angela J. (Gary) Charles of Hilliard and Tonya S. (Eric) Daniels of Marysville; blessed with 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Wilma (Anthony) Montavon of Portsmouth and Wanda (Billy) Burchett of Westerville; brother Donald R. (Patty) Miller of Columbus; brothers and sisters-in-law, James (Bonnie) Chaffin, Ronald (Amy) Chaffin, Donald (Janet) Chaffin and Michael (Brenda) Chaffin; numerous other loving relatives and friends. Family will receive friends Friday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at THE TIDD FUNERAL HOME 5265 Norwich St Hilliard. Funeral service Saturday 12 noon at Christ Restoration Branch Church 585 Pine Ln.
