Clyde "Skeet" Clay

Clyde “Skeet” Clay passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2018. Clyde is survived by his wife of 13 years Diane Clay, her son Curtis Blake, son Curtis (Denise) Clay, grandchildren Elizabeth Ernest, Caroline Oliver and Ryan Clay and two great-grandchildren Glenn and Rose Ernest. Clyde was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years Joy Clay and his son Frank Clay. Clyde was born in Mullins, WV and moved to Columbus in 1973. He worked for Columbia Gas for 42 years. Clyde was an active member of Northwest Chapel Grace Brethren where he taught Bible Study both at church and in his home. He assisted in many missionary efforts of the church. Clyde was an avid golfer and a member of Hickory Hills Country Club for over 30 years. He was a Civil War enthusiast having visited several battle sites across the country. Family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00p.m. this THURSDAY at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, OH 43026 (614)-876-1722. Funeral Services will be held 1:00p.m. FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2018 at NORTHWEST CHAPEL GRACE BRETHREN, 6700 Rings Road, Dublin, OH 43016 where family will greet friends before the service beginning at 12:30p.m. Pastor Martin Guerena, officiating. Burial services will be held 12:00 Noon, SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 2018 at BLUE RIDGE MEMORIAL GARDENS, Beckley, WV.
