Constance Williams

Constance Elaine (Huff) Williams, 83, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 31, 2024, at Friendship Village in Dublin, OH. Connie was born March 14,1941 in Canton, OH as the oldest of four children, and only daughter, to Hubert and Gloria (Phillipi) Huff. 

While Connie was a senior at Perry High School in Canton, OH she met Samuel Reese Williams at a roller skating party. They dated while she attended Massillon City Hospital School of Nursing, graduating as a Registered Nurse. They were married on June 13, 1964 and moved to Atlanta, GA where Sam completed his last two quarters at Georgia Tech and Connie worked as a pediatric nurse at Emory University Children’s Hospital. Upon moving back to Canton, OH, Connie was a surgical nurse at Aultman Hospital. She became a stay-at-home mom to their two daughters, later volunteering at Aultman Hospital. When their daughters were of school age, she worked part time as the school nurse at Westbrook Park United Methodist Church Preschool and taught night school courses for the Canton Board of Education.

Connie often traveled with Sam on his business trips domestically and abroad, visiting such places as England, France, South Africa and Zimbabwe, as well as other locations around the world.

Connie and Sam attended Deuber United Methodist Church for 30 years, until they moved to Dublin, OH in 1994. They attended Northwest Evangelical Christian Church for several years and then Northwest Chapel for the last 25 years. Connie, with her beautiful high soprano voice, served in the church choir for all of her adult life, singing the descant as only she could.

Connie and Sam moved to Friendship Village of Dublin in 2016, actively engaging in programs and activities there.

Connie was an avid needle-worker, most notably crocheting over 230 full-size afghans that she gave as gifts. A two-time survivor of breast cancer, Connie lived a full life being devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren.

Connie is preceded in death by her parents, brother Rodney Huff, daughter Elaine Luczywo, granddaughter Janie Luczywo.

Connie is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Sam, daughter Elise (Steve) Hagerdorn, grandchildren Corban (Jenny) and Rose Luczywo, Joshua, Nathan, Emma and Jacob Hagerdorn, brothers Darryl (Marlene) Huff and Robbin (Margana) Huff, sister-in-law Carol-Ann Huff, son-in-law Brian (Jennifer) Luczywo, and nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, January 4that Northwest Chapel, 6700 Rings Road, Dublin, OH 43016. Visitation will be at 9:00 and the service will be at 10:00 officiated by Connie’s grandson Pastor Cory Luczywo.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northwest Chapel.
