Cora Shiffer

Cora Delabarre Shiffer of Atlanta, Ga. went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ, mother Ruby and her two sisters, Florence and Inez, and her husband Brock Sr in Heaven on Sunday, June 10th. She recently celebrated her 95th birthday on Mother’s Day with numerous family and friends attending. The next day she left Atlanta for Hilliard, OH to be with her daughter Marilyn Kemp and son-in-law Don where she resided until her passing. Cora was born in Woonsocket, RI in 1917 and will be interned there in the family plot. The burial service will be conducted by her son, Rev Brock D. Shiffer, Jr of Homestead, Fl, and Pastor of Speedway Community Church. Mrs. Shiffer is survived by her two children and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She spent almost 20 years as a resident of Campbell-Stone apartments in Sandy Springs and considered Holy Innocent’s Episcopal Church her 2nd home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Holy Innocent’s.
