Corena Margarette “Ginger” Sanders, age 77, of Columbus, Ohio, went home to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ, on Monday, July 27, 2020.

Ginger was born July 9, 1943, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Loraine, Ohio and is preceded in death by her parents Delbert Elvin and Evelyn Viola Bendure.  On August 4, 1977 Corena Margaret married Carl Eugene “Dick” Sanders who also precedes her in death.

Corena faithfully supported “In Touch Ministries“ with Dr. Charles Stanley and enjoyed attending Life in Christ Fellowship Church.  She was a North High School Alumnus and regularly attended Alumni women’s luncheons.  She loved spending time with her family and friends and, working with “It’s All About Love Ministry” where she devoted her time to sewing crocheted squares for afghans and lap robes.  Lap robes were gifted to nursing home residents and proceeds from afghans sold provided meals, blankets, socks, batteries etc. for the homeless. 

Ginger is survived by her son, William A. Kutasy, Sr. (Deborah) and daughters, Victoria (Nick) Douridas; Connie (Dave) Elick and siblings: Roland (Dorothy) Matter, Barbara McFarland, Viva “Vi” Bowan, Connie Jean (Ernie) Dennison, Dayle “Dolly” (Tom) Gwinner.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kenneth Smith, Jr., Christopher Kutasy, William Kutasy, Jr., Nicholas Kutasy, Evin Kutasy, Emilee (Lloyd) Hanson, Jon Richards, Michelle (Chuck) Miller, Desiree DeJohn,  Dionne DeJohn, Dante (Lesley) DeJohn, Nathan (Amanda) Douridas, Nadia Long, and Nyle (Sandy) Douridas, a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and great-grandchildren.

Many other family members and friends will sadly miss Ginger’s caring compassionate, spirit.

A brief time for viewing will be held from 12-12:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 1^st, 2020.  A celebration of life for Corena Margaret Bendure Sanders will be held at 12:30 p.m. (immediately following) with Reverend Issac Shupe officiating and Minister Judith Perkins assisting.

Interment at Sunset Cemetery, 6959 West Broad Street, Galloway, Ohio 43119

Ginger’s family will serve as pallbearers.
