Dale Treweek, age 85, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025. He was born on August 7, 1939, to the late Olive (Reed) and James Treweek.
Dale graduated from LaFayette College with his Bachelors of Chemistry and went on to earn seven professional publications. Those include ESTIMATION OF CHEMICAL INCOMPATIBILITY {OTHER-CHEMICAL REACTIVITY} BY COMPUTER 1980, the 1973 Loss Prevention Symposium Vol. 7 Appraising Energy Hazard Potentials, the EPA National Catalog: Chemical Hygiene Plan, the Investigation on the Detection of Free Radicals in Explosives and the Mechanism of Insensitivity, the Notes on the Rapid Computation of Chemical Equilibia, the Automatic Materials Assessment, and last but not least, the Use of Simple Thermodynamic and Structural Parameters to Predict Self-Reactivity Hazard Ratings of Chemicals.
In his free time, he loved building aquariums and ponds. He loved fish, frogs and water lily's, which were all great additions to his ponds and aquariums. He also loved gardening, his house was full of flowers. Everywhere you turned you were surrounded by multiple levels of flowers. Dale also greatly enjoyed building fast car kits.
Dale married Margret Robinson in 1960 and together they had 4 beautiful children, Tammy, Brian, Lisa, and Amy. He now has 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
He is survived by 3 children, Tammy, Lisa and Amy.
Per Dale's request, there will be no services held at this time. In loving memory, please plant some flowers to celebrate Dale's life, his contributions to chemistry and predictive analysis, and to his love of playful interactions and strong work ethic. We are going to miss you Dad.
