Daniel Strayer

Daniel N. (Nick) Strayer, age 82, of Hilliard, passed away July 22, 2021, at The James Cancer Hospital. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Born May 9, 1939, to Daniel R. and Nora (Miller) Strayer. Nick graduated from Dublin High School Class of 1958. He was drafted into the US Army in 1961 and served 2 years in El Paso, TX. Preceded in death by parents Daniel and Nora, brother Lawrence E. Strayer 1969, killed in action Vietnam and brother Robert L. Strayer. Survived by loving wife of 60 years Rosemary, son Daniel H. Strayer, daughter Julie A. Mayes and son Raymond D. Strayer, grandson Cameron M. Miller, sister-in-law Minah and family, and a host of family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 11:30 am Thursday, July 29, 2021, at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery.
