David K. Fillhart

David K. Fillhart, age 80, of Hilliard, Ohio, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017. Born in Fostoria, Ohio to the late Helen and David Fillhart, he was a graduate of Fostoria High School. David was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps where he was a Gunnery Sergeant and served during the Vietnam War. He retired from OSU Traffic and Safety Department after 25 years of service. He was a member of Hilliard American Legion Post 614. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his beloved wife Betsy Fillhart, son R.A. Fillhart, daughter Elizabeth Mills and granddaughter Robyn Reasons. He is survived by his son Mike (Debbie) Fillhart, daughters Kathie (Roger) VanHoose and Melissa (Cuong) Fillhart-Cao, nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many friends. A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held at 2:00p.m. SATURDAY, MAY 6, 2017 at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, OH 43026 (614)-876-1722 where family will greet friends before the service from 1:00-2:00p.m. Private family burial services will be held at Dayton National Cemetery.
