David Howard Handel

David Howard Handel, born to the late Paul and Ernestine Handel, passed away in Columbus, Ohio, on March 22, 2025, at the age of 85. Dave's unwavering faith and joyful spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife (Nancy) of 62-years, his children, Christopher (Brenda) and Stephen (Alyssa), his brother Charlie (Barbara), and six grandchildren.

Dave was an Eagle Scout, graduated from Grandview Heights High School in 1957, earned a degree from The Ohio State University, and retired from Nationwide Life Insurance.

Dave had a passion for trains and collecting railroad china. He also enjoyed watching old westerns and cheering on Ohio State football. He cherished weekly outings with his lifelong high school friends and was an active member of his church. Despite facing physical challenges throughout his life, Dave exemplified joy in Christ and an optimism that touched those around him.

Dave's favorite Bible verse was Romans 10:9 which says, "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved".

 A Celebration of Life service will be held at Northwest Bible Church, 6639 Scioto Darby Road, Hilliard, Ohio, on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 11:00AM.
